2024 Pre-Registration                              Application For Consideration

Mystic welcomes thousands of visitors as a highly interactive camp with inclusivity deeply rooted in our values AND, we are given a limited amount of space.  This year we will cap out at 175 amazing humans in response to feedback received from 2023.  We seek those of you who desire to co-create our amazing interactive offerings and maintain an environment where everyone feels connection as a tribe generating love, safety and belonging with their fellow Mystics to form life-long friendships both on and off Playa.

Our membership model puts our service and offerings to Black Rock City at the center of our selection process.  Veteran Mystic Representatives review submitted Applications where participants like you tell us how you would like to participate.  Their role is to read these applications and choose who they'd like to give their allocated spots to this year from those Applicants that best represent our values.  Given our commitment to evolving Mystic into an even better experience year to year, this selection process allows us to invite Black Rock Citizens that live the spirit of Burning Man and are excellent representatives of our culture.

How Do You Join Mystic This Year?  Veterans & Newbies alike...
Our Representatives will be allotted a specific number of the 175 spots available at camp representing a subset of our 40+ teams that have been divided based on their relevance for creating that aspect of camp.  

The Reps will choose among the Applicants who to give their spots to - they might reach out to the Applicant or their Sponsor or the relevant Team Lead to help them make their choice.  Once they choose, they will send a unique INVITE CODE to the Burner Profile email you provide that will allow you to complete Step 2 and Register by paying Dues to confirm your official spot at Mystic this year when we open Registration near the beginning of April.  At that time you will be connected to the Leads (if committed already) for any of the Teams you plan on joining.

If the Team Choices you are applying for are full but there are spots on other Teams, that Rep will be in touch to see if you are willing to help out the Teams that most need support and then award your spot.

If you don't receive a spot you will be placed on the Waitlist as there are often A LOT of cancellations and tickets changing hands that can happen toward the middle of the summer and we will let you know if a spot opens up.   We are committed to our cap goal, so complete your Application ASAP to be considered for your top choices.

Veterans who have already been sponsored in years past do not need to answer this question as they already have!  Newbies must answer this question giving it some heart and soul and consideration as the answers we've received over the years have been really beautiful and we read and cherish every word!
EARLY BUILD: Are you wanting to apply for one of our Setup Access Passes to come early to BUILD (NOTE: You must arrive NO LATER than the Wednesday prior to gates opening...IDEALLY TUESDAY or earlier.
NOTE: We sometimes have more people Applying than we have passes for so you might be on a Waitlist and will receive confirmation once we receive those passes (June/July). Build is an awesome time on Playa.

TEAM PARTICIPATION: What SPECIFIC teams are you COMMITTED to participate on? You can join between 1 - 3 teams and will need to do a minimum of 2 shifts + 1 Leave No Trace Shift. *

Beginning in 2022, we primarily utilize Email + WhatsApp and have a few vibrant Community Group threads going.  We generally send email communications and also have a Facebook Group where we can post pictures, get connected, and share new members.  Some of our TEAM LEADS have dedicated WhatsApp groups so that the threads are organized and easy to search and save for posterity.
Let us know if you are committed to check for communications on one or more of these platforms.

NOTE:  We have been advised that Telegram functions better than WhatsApp and are curious whether or not a mass migration would be acceptable if enough Mystics agree.  If you would be willing to consider the jump, check the Telegram box.

Mystic sets aside a portion of our budget each year to offer assistance to those who sincerely desire to radically contribute, yet face significant financial challenges.  Beginning in 2024, we ask those seeking Mystic Financial Aid (assistance with Dues and/or Meal Plan) to show Proof of Application to the BM Ticket Aid Program.  We encourage those in need to apply now, well before the deadline of June 5th.  When you receive your Application Confirmation email, please forward it along with your Statement of Need request to registration@campmystic.org for our consideration.  We recognize that those who submit for reduced fee tickets generally don't find out if they are awarded for 12 weeks or so, nearly the end of June, however, your willingness to submit income and expense data to the Ticketing Dept. demonstrates your true need to us AND results in a $225 ticket for you, a $350 savings.

CRITICAL NOTE:  
Program Restrictions:  If you purchase a ticket to Burning Man 2024 in ANY sale, you are not eligible to participate in the Ticket Aid Program. 

If you are approved for a reduced-price ticket through the Ticket Aid Program and purchase a Burning Man 2024 ticket in any later sale, your Ticket Aid Program award will be revoked, even if the ticket was purchased for someone else or you let someone else use your credit card.

If a ticket to Burning Man 2024 is transferred into your name, you are no longer eligible to receive a ticket through the Ticket Aid Program and your award will be revoked.
