Congratulations on choosing this sacrament of faithful commitment. Marriage in the church is a profound opportunity to invite God into your family. Please fill out the Marriage Request Form below to get the ball rolling and begin the prenuptial file and learn about the preparation process.In preparation for Marriage, the couple is asked to make the following arrangements:

Provide twelve months notice
Roman Catholics must obtain a copy of their Baptismal Certificate dated no earlier than six months before the proposed date of marriage.
Marriage Preparation will be required.

If you live outside of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth, you are responsible to meet with a Priest in your area and have him handle your pre-marital inquiry and forward the paperwork to the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth. Please provide the name of the Priest and Parish that will be forwarding your paperwork in the form below.

If you are planning to have a priest other than one from Stella Maris as the celebrant of your wedding, please make this immediately known as approval is required by the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth. Please provide the Priest’s name, parish and contact number in the form.
