Lehigh Valley Host Homes - Inquiry Form
Are you an individual or family inquiring about becoming a Host Home?
At Valley Youth House, we envision a world in which every young person belongs to a nurturing community. The Lehigh Valley Host Homes program connects youth (ages 16-22) who are experiencing housing instability with volunteer homes. This program serves youth experiencing homelessness or housing instability located in the Lehigh Valley.
The program is seeking homes/families with the basics of housing stability, reasonable patience, understanding, a suitable room for the youth, and who want to get involved, give back to strengthen the success of our local youth who may be facing some challenges.
Host Homes/Host Families are recruited, screened, trained, and supported by Valley Youth House staff. Youth are introduced prior to any host placement and must voluntarily agree to reside with a particular host. Program staff assist the youth and host in completing a host and participant contract prior to move in. Homes will receive a stipend, support, and services from Valley Youth House staff. Once placed, each youth will be assisted by the Housing Stability Coach (HSC).
This program is to connect vulnerable homeless youth with a stable, nurturing, supportive home to guide them down the right path and encourage safe, positive choices.
