Short+Sweet Illawarra Voices | Registration Form

Calling for Illawarra and South Coast Pitch-Perfect Choral Groups

An exciting new showcase festival of a cappella singing will make its Short+Sweet Illawarra debut this year and is now calling for entries.

It promises to stretch the boundaries of choral performance, rewarding innovation, excellence and creativity with the winning acts as voted by the audience and industry judges to take part in the first Short+Sweet Illawarra Gala Final Showcase alongside the best acts from its Theatre, Cabaret and Dance festivals.

Short+Sweet provides audiences with a ‘tasting plate’ of bite-sized morsels of creative work, while priding itself on the development of emerging artists and new work through its consistent format of 10-minute performance.

Short+Sweet Illawarra now launches its latest endeavour – a festival aimed at showcasing and developing the extraordinary vocal talent found in the beautiful NSW South Coast. The Festival Director is well-known Wollongong actor, director and producer Luke Berman who is enthused about the new addition to the Short+Sweet Illawarra stable – now making the Wollongong arm the most versatile of any of Short+Sweet festival in the world.

All performances will be presented at Bridge Street Theatre in Coniston this coming August.
