Slow down the momentum of doing, and reconnect with a feeling of wholeness through movement and stillness. Mindfulness Instructor Wendy Beckerman conveys present-moment awareness through basic yoga postures (modified as needed), breathing practices, relaxation, and meditation, in a supportive environment. Includes suggestions for simple and effective mindfulness techniques for self-care. All levels of experience welcome. Bring a yoga mat; Blocks and straps provided.
Mindful Yoga, Thursdays, 3:00-4:15pm, at "The Church on the Corner," 1319 Solano Ave, Albany (corner of Solano and Pomona Avenues). It's friendly, spacious, with natural light, restrooms, and free 90-minute street parking.
