Ever think about what it means to be "art" and the artists who tested this definition throughout time? Join Life Gears Academy's Sarah and Julianna in a weekly live video call to discuss Visual Arts and it's impact on society. Class will focus on examples of different art movements, pieces that make us think, how to value artwork, and a final class where we learn about how to critique each other's work.

Group Size: up to 6 youth
Time Slots: 10:30am to 11:30am EST and 1:30pm to 2:30pm EST
Dates: Thursdays July 9 to August 27
Cost: $8/session or $40 for all 7 sessions. Cost is per participant, with discounts available for multiple youth per device/computer.

July 9 (Promotional/free): What is art and what is its purpose?
July 16: Principles of Art and they are used
July 23: Ready Made sculptures and Dada Art
July 30: The Value of Art
August 6: Communicating Through the Arts
August 13: Junk Art and the Environment
August 20: Performance Art
August 27: Show and Tell/Critique

Registration can be for all 7 weeks or for single sessions and sign-ups can happen at any point throughout the program.
