What we need you to DO is critical for our ministry, but WHO you are in Christ is even more important. Your spiritual growth is just as important as the spiritual growth of the people to which you are ministering. We are making a commitment to come alongside you with your spiritual development. We also desire to help you discover how God has wired you to serve and help you succeed as a volunteer in whatever role you serve.
We commit to communicate our expectations clearly, provide you the necessary training and tools to do what we have asked, provide opportunities for you to give us feedback on your experience, and do all we can to make sure you grow as you serve, by:
Providing resources for continued discipleship and spiritual growth.
Providing opportunities for 1-on-1s upon request.
Providing periodic large group training opportunities.
Here are some commitments we want you to consider before stepping into ministerial leadership at Keystone Church:
1. Serving is not a substitute for worship
We are expecting that you prioritize attendance in one of the congregational worship services.
2. Come prepared to serve
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to the start of your service.
Be sure to read the Connect Desk email prior to arriving when sent.
3. Abide by dress code and wear name badges where necessary
You will be given a ministry T-shirt. Wear this each time you serve. Please dress modestly and appropriately for ministry.
4. Communicate in a timely and effective manner
If you are unable to fulfill the role you are scheduled for (due to illness or a schedule conflict) please contact your ministry director to let them know as soon as possible.
5. Participate in other community groups
We highly recommend participation in a community group at Keystone Church alongside your service.
6. Attend Trainings and Ministry Events
We ask that you make every effort to attend all training and ministry events offered. When not possible, there will be materials available for you to read or watch, at your most earnest convenience.
7. Be responsible with your online presence
We ask that you leverage social media appropriately, and with the body of Christ you belong to in mind.
8. Be willing to seek counsel when needed
Should you or a mentee (child/student/parents) be struggling with deeper theological, psychological, or lifestyle challenges that require pastoral or professional counseling, we ask you to engage your ministry director to navigate those resources.
9. Abide by all safety protocols listed in family ministry manual***
***Each ministry environment has its own safety procedures and protocols. This form is to list general standards we desire. Please adhere to the family ministry safety manual for your specific area of service.
If you have concerns or questions please contact your ministry director. It’s our desire to care for you:
