Purpose of processing and legal basis
The University of Turin is a public institution of high culture awarded with tasks having institutional purposes of higher education and research (art. 1 of the Statute of the University of Turin) in implementation of art. 33 of the Constitution.
The University of Turin will process personal data for the purpose institution of research for the organisation of the Turin Islamic Economic Forum / European Journal of Islamic Finance Virtual Workshop
The University of Turin carries out the processing of personal data to perform a public interest task or related to the exercise of general powers according to art. 6 par. 1 lett. e) of EU Regulation no. 2016/679. Under art. 2 ter of Legislative Decree no. 101 of 2018, the legal basis is constituted by Law no. 168/1989 and subsequent amendments and supplements, Law 240/2010 and subsequent amendments and supplements.

Types of data processed
The personal data collected and processed by the Owner for the above purposes are as follows:

They are also subject to processing operations in compliance with current legislation and the obligations of confidentiality provided, photographs/video / audio recordings through which they are identifiable subjects.
The processing of data relating to articles and slides sent could involve operations such as storage or publication in articles or the journal(s) European Journal of Islamic Finance of the University of Turin.

Provision of data
Participation in the Turin Islamic Economic Forum / European Journal of Islamic Finance Virtual Workshop by the interested party implies the provision of personal data required as described in paragraph d) of this statement. Failure to provide personal data and contact details will not allow participation in related events and consequent obligations.
Failure to provide images, audiovisual footage and any contributions (texts, articles, slides) by the person concerned for the purposes mentioned above will not affect the participation of the same virtual workshop. It will not be prejudicial to the person concerned.

Treatment modes
The processing of personal data will be carried out through manual, computerised and telematic instruments that are suitable to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the data.
To achieve the above purposes, the data are processed within the University of Turin by persons authorised to process data under the Owner's responsibility, who are adequately educated and trained for this purpose. Access to the recorded images and/or audiovisual footage will be granted to the researcher and the teacher in charge of the project and to any other subjects specifically authorised to process the data, who will process the data for the execution of activities related to the achievement of the results of the same. The images and/or audiovisual recordings may be communicated to specific and determined recipients (purely by example and not limited to during lectures, seminars, conferences, popular events having as their object the topics covered during the conference).
Furthermore, the data will not be processed for commercial or marketing purposes or transferred to third parties.

The data may also be communicated and processed externally by third-party providers of specific services necessary for the performance of the processing, who act on behalf of the Data Controller for the sole purpose of the requested service and who will be duly appointed "Data Processors" according to Article 28 of EU Regulation 2016/679.

The data controller pays specific attention to the organisation's definition, identifying personnel responsible for data collection by providing adequate instructions on how to carry out the processing activities to ensure compliance with ethical rules and the protection of the rights of those concerned.
The personal data collected will be communicated to the Turin Islamic Economic Forum / European Journal of Islamic Finance Virtual Workshop.
