What are we talking about?

This is the beginning of a conversation in our community about the best way to serve students in grades five through eight. A potential model includes converting our thirteen elementary campuses into nine elementary campuses (serving students in kindergarten through 4th grade) and four intermediate campuses (serving students in 5th and 6th grades). In this model, Clack, Craig, Madison, and Mann middle schools will only serve students in grades seven and eight.

Why are we talking about it?

We recognize that middle school is an increasingly crucial time in a student’s social, emotional, and academic development. Therefore, we want to ensure that we are serving AISD students in the best way possible by providing the most effective grade configuration for all age groups.
