Each year, The 48 AQUA Divas, Gwinnett County Alumnae Chapter’s 2007 Inaugural line,
sponsors a $500 scholarship for a local deserving, graduating high school senior in Gwinnett County who has displayed hard work, determination and perseverance by making the decision to attend a college or
university.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
Graduating high school seniors who are:
• African-American students attending a Gwinnett County high school AND
• Who are the son or daughter of a financial member of Gwinnett County Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. OR
• Who are the son or daughter of a member of the 48 AQUA Divas Spring 2007 Inaugural Line

Application Requirements
• A completed, signed and dated application. The application must be typed or legibly printed in
blue or black ink if mailed in.
• A copy of an official high school transcript
• School letter of recommendation from the following: Core Academic Teacher (Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies or Foreign Language)
• Letter of recommendation from a community service leader
• Letter of acceptance to a college or university

Note: If awarded a scholarship, please be available on Sunday, May 21, 2023, for a reception in your honor.

PART V: ESSAY

You will be assessed on your ability to communicate your thoughts with the following 500-word essay. It must be submitted at the time of completion of the online application.
