Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Catalyst Program Abstract and iPoster Contests for Undergraduate and Graduate Students
The UofSC Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Catalyst Program at the Arnold School of Public Health (ASPH) is a new program funded with support from the Maternal and Child Health Bureau at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The program is committed to training a diverse, skilled, and innovative MCH workforce in our state and nation.
To be eligible for participation in the MCH Catalyst Program Abstract and iPoster Contests, students must:
• be enrolled as a student at UofSC in the 2020-2021 academic year.
• submit the same abstract/iPoster to the 2021 UofSC Discover.
• have participated sufficiently in the abstract and iPoster work to take responsibility for
the content and be willing to provide any relevant data upon request.
• certify they have contributed substantially to: (1) the conception and design or analysis
and interpretation of data and (2) the drafting and final approval of the submitted
abstract.
Submissions will be reviewed and scored based on the following criteria: (1) relevance to maternal and child health; (2) evidence of student work; (3) clarity; (4) potential impact; (5) novelty (e.g., originality, innovation); and (6) use of sound methodology.
To be considered, submit your abstracts using the below form by 11:59 PM on March 19, 2021. We understand that you will be able to create your iPoster after March 26th; please be sure to use the same title for your iPoster so that we can review it April 23rd and after. Selected authors will be notified by the first week in May.
