The PTA is looking for volunteers to join committees, organize events and serve on the board. Please take a moment to review the positions below and select all that interest you. A PTA representative will reach out to you with more details. Thank you for making SLES the BEST!

Assemblies Coordinator - books vendors for Author readings, science show and school arts/performers.

Staff Lunch Coordinator- occasionally places orders for catering of staff lunches provided by the PTA

Cabin John Skate Night Planner - books reservation and promotes skate night event

International Night Committee - plans and promotes a cultural open house event for our families to showcase countries

Community Service Committee - plans ways for students and families to give back throughout the school year

School Spiritwear Representative - orders and coordinates with vendor to deliver apparel

PTA Newsletter Contact - collects information for school events and designs newsletter in PTA Database

PTA Board President - Organizes school meetings with staff, plans activities with PTA board, Acts as Liaison between staff and families

PTA Board Vice President - Supports President in decision making and planning for school year

PTA Vice President #2 - Serves as Foundation Liaison. Attends monthly meetings with PTA President and school staff.

PTA Board Secretary - Writes meeting minutes and makes room reservations

PTA Board Treasurer In Training - Writes checks, creates budget and oversees that funding is on track

Room Parent Coordinator - Communicates with all room parents to plan 3 class parties. And provides support to teachers.

Book Fair Planning Committee - Plans, and promotes school book fair, organize set up and take down

Fall Festival Committee - Plans fall events for a one day festival at the school

Reflections Art Show Coordinator - Register our school to participate in the Countywide Art show. Promote event to families.

Picnic event planner - books DJ and orders pizza for the 2 school year PTA picnics

PTA Fundraising Chairs - organizes opportunities like restaurant night, chuck-e-cheese, places orders for school supply kits

PTA Membership Chair In Training - Promote membership enrollment and track yearly membership and dues payments

MCC PTA Delegate - Attend a once a month zoom meeting with other schools in our cluster. Report back to PTA Board on events.

Teacher Appreciation Week Coordinator - Order lunches and organize gifts for our staff/teachers during one week in May
