Youthpower Stopwaste Project Jan - May 2024
We have 6 years to to cut emissions in HALF. So we take on some of the biggest climate problems. 

From now till June 2024, these are our 4 key climate projects:

1.  electing climate-smart leaders:  postcards/textbanking/getting out the vote , recruiting and training people for in-person postcarding & zoom texting sessions, outreach to get more people & groups involved
2.  methane OUT of my house and my air -  outreach and publicity about getting rid of nasty climate-frying methane heaters and stoves -  making connections with local installers (hopefully getting some discounts)
3. refrigerants - investigating refrigerants in grocery stores - raising funds to transition to natural refrigerants (possibly writing grants) - making presentations about the climate-frying problem of refrigerants
4.  cutting flight emissions -   surveys about how much people fly, outreach and social media campaign about College Closer to Home campaign

YOU can make a difference for the climate AND earn a $300 stipend if you can commit 3 -6 hours a week to one or more of these projects. We also need people who can help for a couple hours now and then.

IF you are overcommitted this spring, but want to get involved later, we will be focusing on the Nov. elections from June 2024 - Nov. 2024.
