今、射水市には3,442人の外国人住民の皆さんがいらっしゃいます。（2024年３月31日時点、総人口に占める割合は3.８%）
ムスリム（イスラム教徒）の方も多く、富山モスクもありますし、皆さんお馴染みのイミズスタンカレーのお店もたくさんあります。でも、はたして富山は外国人住民の皆さんにとって住みやすい場所と言えるでしょうか？外国人住民の皆さんと一緒に「やさしいまちづくり」について考えてみたいと思います。
