Softball Queensland U14 Girls Player Nomination Form 2024
Please read all information carefully before confirming you wish to be considered for selection. Nominations close Monday 24th June 2024
All nominees MUST:
• Be a current registered member of a full member District Softball Association in Queensland;
• Submit the fully completed form to SQI by the due date
• Be age eligible for the U14 Australian Regional tournament  7-12th January  2025 Venue TBC. 
• Participate in the 2024 U14 State Championship

UNDER 14 CAMPS
There will be a compulsory camp for all selected members in the SQI under 14 Boys and Girls squads to be held in 22nd and 23rd June at Redcliffe.    
There will be a compulsory camp for all selected members in the SQI under 14 Boys and Girls squads  to be held 26 and 27th October at Redlands.   
The cost to attend each of the camps will be the same for all participants and will be invoiced and must be paid in full prior to the respective camps. (An approximate cost for the camp is $300 per camp. The cost is shared across all players and the final cost will be dependent upon where the players are travelling from).

TRAINING: During the October - January period SQI will hold training sessions for players selected in the SQI under 14 teams. Players who are not attending regular training sessions risk being withdrawn from the team. Trainings will be held at venues in reasonable proximity to players home association at dates and times to be advised by SQI. Training is compulsory and permission to miss training, except in exceptional circumstances, will NOT be granted.  
 
ATTENDANCE AT AUSTRALIAN U14 REGIONAL TOURNAMENT 
Players nominating for selection agree that they are available to participate for the full duration of the tournament and if selected will not request permission to be absent or advise SQI of their absence from any part of the competition and preparation.
The final player levy to participate at the U14 Regional Tournaments will be advised (approximate cost $2500) and does not include uniforms. 
Four Queensland teams will be attending the Australian U14 Regional Tournament; Queensland Storm (metro) Boys, Queensland Thunder (country) Boys, Queensland Flame (metro) Girls, Queensland Fire (country) Girls. 

Pay the SQI nomination fee of $38 by the due date:-
NOTE: Only one nomination fee is required regardless of the number of teams/squads you are nominating for.
NOTE: A late fee of $55.00 will be imposed for nominations submitted or received after the close of business on the closing date.  The total cost of the nomination will be $93.00 ($38.00 nomination fee plus $55.00 late fee)
Please be advised that once the relevant State squad has been selected, your nomination fee will be non-refundable. 
Players who have been approved an underage exemption request i.e. 10 year old's play in the Under 14 State Championships can not nominate for U14 state team selection

Player feedback for non-selected players will not be available.
