Player Code of Conduct

Playing Time - it is earned and at the discretion of the coach, this is a competitive volleyball club.  Coaches will do their best to offer fair (not equal) playing time to each team player, fair could be  defined as playing an average of 2 or 3 rotations (front or back row) per match. Fair is not based on time, playing a specific requested position, or being able to serve. It is reasonable to speculate that  playing time may be distributed more liberally at the younger ages.

Attending Matches - impromptu conferences with coaches are not allowed, please abide by a 24 hour rule before contacting a coach; all spectators are asked to avoid harassing the referees. Players are  expected to attend all tournaments unless previously arranged with your coach or the club director.

Payment - Players will be withheld from play and practice until full payment has been made. Full  payment is due at the parent/player meeting in November.

Attendance -Attendance at practice is required. Since match play is solely up to the discretion of the  head coach, playing time may be affected by poor attendance; Players will communicate well in advance  concerning any missed practices or conflicts.

Multi-Sport Athletes - Will be handled on an individual case basis. Athletes on all teams will be expected  to attend all practices unless cleared by the head coach.

Negative and Poor Sportsmanship -All staff, players, and spectators will avoid harsh criticism, extreme  negativity, and displays of poor sportsmanship throughout the season.

Event Behavior- Players will support other Cl Spikers club teams participating at an event no player will  leave until the entire team is dismissed after the team's last match or officiating duty.

Bullying- we have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for bullying. If bullying occurs, a meeting will occur with  the coach and/or director and the parents and player(s) involved. A disciplinary probation contract will  be signed by all parties. A second offense will result in dismissal from the club.

Substance Use – players will not use alcohol, drugs, tobacco or vaping products while part of the CI  Spikers Volleyball. If found to be using any illegal substances, a disciplinary probation contract will be  reviewed with and signed by the player and their parents. A second offense will result in dismissal from  the club.

Please note that in case of a player being dismissed for any of the above violations, all money collected will be non-refundable.
