The opening up of agriculture and contract farming in the United States brought ruination to small family farms. Today the median farm income in the United States is a negative $1,800 dollars and farmers are struggling to feed themselves. Are the 2020 Indian Farm Laws taking Indian agriculture down that same path? Graduate students Rajashik Tarafder and Sristy Agrawal attempt to answers this question as they share their amazing personal journeys filming the documentary Déjà vu with experienced filmmaker and friend Bedabrata Pain. Déjà vu is a documentary of the interviews the trio made of U.S. farmers in 2020-2021 with the goal of shedding light on the current farmers' protests in India and hearing from American farmers about their experience in the last four decades.

World Fest is coordinated by Caltech International Student Programs and the Caltech Y.
