THE MIGHTIER SWORD is a virtual production created by TheatreSquared, and conceived as a "play that you play!" The performance is interactive, allowing students to navigate through the scenes and make selections that will allow them to acquire achievement badges that will eventually unlock the "treasure of knowledge". THE MIGHTIER SWORD is currently in its first round of development. The available level features five American writers who are women: Emily Dickenson, Sylvia Plath, Estela Portillo Trambley, Dorothy Parker and Maya Angelou. The writers invite the "scholar warrior" to learn about their lives, their writing and how they used their pen (the mightier sword) to change their own world. The "game" integrates learning standards from Theatre and ELA and provides content in an engaging and interactive way for students.

The production can be navigated by a single student who is participating in virtual or distance learning or can be enjoyed by an entire classroom. Essentially, the production provides a class period of engagement for all of your students and can be accessed at anytime through a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. You only need an internet connection, and you are on your way!
