Nature Camp Policies
1. Child must be of appropriate age to attend Nature Camp.
2. If a child does not appear on the first day of their Nature Camp session by 8:30 a.m., they will lose their place unless special arrangements have been made with LLTT. Refund will be 50% of registration fee.
3. LLTT and Nature Camp staff have the right to dis-miss any camper whose behavior is not appropriate to the atmosphere and expectations of LLTT and the camp director. Refund will be 50% of remaining days in the camp week.
4. LLTT reserves the right to cancel any session of Nature Camp for any reason although every effort will be made to avoid cancellation. Should Nature Camp be cancelled, a parent or guardian is not entitled to any compensation other than the registration fee for the cancelled session.
5. Under no circumstances are campers allowed to bring valuables, weapons, collectables, radios, iPods, cell phones, or other electronic devices to Nature Camp. If a cell phone is necessary, it must remain OFF unless a camp staff person supervises its use. All items are subject to confiscation. LLTT is not responsible for such items if brought to camp. Campers in possession of any weapon will be dismissed from camp immediately.
6. Children must be dropped off at LLTT’s historic Susanville railroad depot between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. and picked up promptly at 3:30 p.m. by an authorized adult at the same location or other designated site.
7. LLTT and Nature Camp staff will administer basic first aid as needed.
8. LLTT provides lunch, water, and sunscreen. If your child has any special needs regarding said items, it is your responsibility to provide them. Campers must be dressed appropriately with closed-toe shoes, a hat, and a long-sleeved shirt. Please pro-vide an additional pair of water-appropriate shoes (not flip flops) with your child. Additionally, please send your child with one spare change of clothes at the beginning of the week, in case of emergency.
9. Learning disabilities and special needs must be disclosed before the commencement of Nature Camp.
10. Outside food and drink, not accompanied by doctor’s note, will be confiscated by Nature Camp Staff and returned at the end of the day.
