Mayor's Office Internship Application
The Mayoral Internship Program (MIP) is designed to provide students with a passion for public service and community engagement with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience that benefits their future career development. Interns will work closely with Mayor's Office Executive staff and across departments to make lasting and tangible contributions to the Town of Cumberland.

The MIP is an eight-week unpaid internship. Interns are required to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week and to be available to work the duration of the internship period.

Qualifications for Program:
Potential applicants must meet the following requirements:

- Be a current high school student who has completed their sophomore year prior to June 2021.
- Students must be residents of Cumberland, Rhode Island
- Possess excellent organizational, administrative, and time management skills
- Strong computer literacy, proficiency with Microsoft Office is a plus.
- Students must fill out completed application by 2pm on May 17th. Late submissions will not be accepted.
