Learning Options 2021-2022 School Year for Dover School District
Please complete the survey below to indicate whether you plan to send your child or children to Dover School District for face-to-face instruction or virtual instruction for the 2021-22 school year. Please note that completion of this survey is to gauge interest only and will not mean your child will be enrolled in an instructional program. It is important to read about each instruction option below, as the virtual option will be changing next year.
Face-to face instruction will consist of your child attending on campus each day. All face-to-face instruction will be given by Dover School District teachers (with the exception of high school students who enroll in Virtual Arkansas courses in the onsite digital learning lab).
The virtual instruction option (also known as Dover Virtual Academy) will consist of your child completing all work virtually at home. Beginning with the 2021-22 school year, virtual courses will be taught by offsite virtual teachers through the Arch Ford Education Cooperative. Those teachers will have dedicated times each day to instruct and communicate with students virtually, which will enhance student learning and facilitate better understanding of lessons and materials. Because the Dover School District wants to ensure every student's success, progress will be monitored closely and may make recommendations for students to return to face-to-face instruction. Virtual instruction will require a strong commitment from both parents and students.
