Registration of Interest : The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) Research Collaborative Proposal and ICT Pilot Project
The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) is inviting APT members to submit proposals for
1) International Collaborative Research -  maximum USD 60,000 (USD 80,000 for projects designed to help in the recovery from COVID-19)
2) ICT Pilot Projects for Rural Areas for 2021 funded by the Extra-Budgetary Contribution from Japan (EBC-J) - maximum USD 200,000. (USD 250,000 for projects designed to help in the recovery from COVID-19)

1) International Collaborative Research

OBJECTIVE
The objective of the programme is to promote the exchange of advanced knowledge and technical know-how among ICT experts in the Asia-Pacific region through international collaborative research projects on advanced ICT and ICT utilization.

OUTLINE
(1) This programme will provide financial support of up to USD60,000 for each project. The final budget allocation to each project is subject to careful examination of the proposal.
(2) Under the unprecedented situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, APT is taking a special measure by giving priority to the project designed to help in the recovery from COVID-19. The amount of support for such project can be extended up to USD80,000.

2) ICT Pilot Projects for Rural Areas for 2021

OBJECTIVE
The objective  of  this  programme  is  to  narrow  the  digital  divide  in  the Asia-Pacific region, through the promotion of pilot projects to support access to ICT in rural areas of developing members and associate members, and to facilitate development of ICT infrastructures/services in the region.

OUTLINE
(1) This programme will provide financial support of up to USD200,000 for each pilot project for ICT development in rural areas of APT Members and Associate Members. However, the appropriate amount of the budget for the project will be determined based on careful examination of the proposal at the time of selection.
(2) Under the unprecedented situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, APT is taking a special measure by giving priority to the project designed to help in the recovery from COVID-19. The amount of support for such project can be extended up to USD250,000.

- Pre-registration through the MyIGT system : Before 7th August 2021
- Submission of soft copy application form together with the cover letter from the Head of Department / Research Management Center (RMC): From 9th August – 24th August 2021
- Submission of the hardcopy application : By 24th August 2021
