The RESC would like to learn about your concerns, ideas, and recommendations regarding how the City of Portland addresses public safety and racial equity. RESC is hosting in-person public comment sessions to gather input, but we recognize that in-person public comment may not feel accessible to all people in our community, for a variety of reasons. Because we would like to hear from a wide array of our community members - not just those who can attend our scheduled public comment sessions - we are inviting people to submit written public comment for our review. We have designed this short form to give community members an easy way to share their perspectives. Each of your answers can be up to 3,000 characters (Google Forms limitations).

For your reference, the RESC is using the following as our working definition of "public safety." Public safety is:
A.  Protecting the wellbeing of people of all races & ethnicities, communities, and organizations.
B.  Safeguarding people from crimes, disaster, and other potential dangers and threats, and reducing fear
C.  Ensuring that all people get a fair and equitable chance to lead a high quality of life that is not predicted by race.
