SPE Southwest Leadership Nominations

We are accepting nominations (and self-nominations) for candidates for the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair of the Southwest Chapter (Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah).

The Chair position will last for three years and end in 2025. The Vice-Chair position will be for two years and will end in 2024. This is meant to help us stagger the positions in the future. There is always the possibility of running for a second term. The current leadership will be available to help with the transition and future programming.

The Chairperson is responsible for:
The overarching organization of the chapter.
Holding regular planning calls with the leadership team.
Planning events and programming, and the regional conference.
Acting as the liaison between chapter membership and the SPE board and staff.
Coordinating and/or delegating activities such as the chapter update emails, chapter social media, and any other initiatives embarked upon by the leadership team.
 
The Vice-Chair/Secretary is responsible for:
Working closely with the Chair on all caucus activities
Recording minutes during meetings, both virtual and in person.
Managing the chapter communications and newsletter, and assisting with the chapter website.
Acting as a second liaison between caucus membership and the SPE board and staff.
