Pre-GIS Day Celebration 2023
Wednesday, November 8, 2023, 3:00-4:30 pm

GIS and geospatial data services are becoming more prominent in many academic libraries and archives all over Texas! Is your institution part of the trend? We want to hear about it!

The TDL GIS Interest Group is accepting proposals for brief presentations for the annual Pre-GIS Day Celebration on Wednesday, November 8. Presentations can take a variety of formats and cover a variety of topics in GIS and mapping. We are looking for short talks that can include: discussions about your GIS research, a show and tell of GIS technology or something you discovered about GIS technology, a research support case study, a discussion about how you have designed your maps, and so on! Even if your research is still in the early stages, we want to hear about it!
  • Lightning Talks (3-5 minutes)
  • Posters (5-7 minutes)
  • PechaKucha (7 minutes)
  • Short Presentation (7-10 minutes)
  • Other (Suggestions Welcome!)
