The Preservation Association of Lincoln (PAL) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to  identifying and promoting the preservation of historically, culturally, and architecturally significant  resources in Lincoln and Lancaster County. In accordance with PAL’s nonprofit status in Nebraska,  as well as its bylaws, the organization is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors. The bylaws state:  “It is the responsibility of each Director to attend as many board meetings as possible and to either  chair or participate on a committee or project.”
