The Elevator Pitch Tournament, is an initiative of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. in partnership with the Lola Mercedes Parker Foundation for Economic Empowerment of Business and Professional Women (LMPF), to spark interest and help boost entrepreneurial mindsets among youth. Youth entrepreneurship has proven to improve academic performance, interpersonal skills, career readiness, problem solving and decision-making abilities. The Elevator Pitch Youth Tournament is open to all middle and high school students nationwide to help keep students engaged due to the circumstances around COVID-19. Our goal is to showcase and celebrate the creativity of young entrepreneurs, and encourage youth to challenge themselves and think about the possibilities of entrepreneurship and life in general. Judges from Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. the Lola Mercedes Parker Foundation and Community Business Leaders will select six winners 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place for the middle school category and 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place for the high school category. The Elevator Pitch Competition will take place on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 2:00-3:00 PM CST.
