The Rochester Jamaican Organization, Inc. was founded in 2006 as an association that will provide to Jamaicans and friends of Jamaica a network that will enable access to resources that will positively impact social conditions of Jamaicans in Jamaica and in Rochester.

Rochester Jamaican Organization Inc. (RJO) Linford Hamilton (L.H) Memorial Scholarship

The Linford Hamilton scholarship was established by the Hamilton Family in memory of the late Mr. Linford Hamilton, entrepreneur, community leader, education advocate, and a founding member the Rochester Jamaican Organization, Inc. A total of three scholarships will be awarded.

APPLICATION DUE DATE APRIL 1, 2024

Criteria
To be eligible for the Rochester Jamaican Organization, Inc. scholarships, the applicant must:
  • Be a high school graduating student who has been accepted to or enrolled in a regionally accredited higher education institution as a full-time matriculated student.

  • Be a Jamaican, or of Caribbean descent and a member of an underrepresented minoritized group.
