A beta reader is a critical and trusted reader who previews a story before it gets published. Your feedback can become invaluable in making the story the best it can be. Your role is to read the story and offer honest insights on plot, characters, writing style, and other aspects, helping the author identify and address any issues or improvements needed. 

As a potential beta reader, your feedback from a reader's perspective will help an author out when it comes to editing for a final version. Please note: beta draft and the final published work can vary.

If you want to help out but have never done beta reading before, there are multiple templates online with helper sheets, but this one is my favourite (from Jami Gold). This helper sheet will have some questions for you to answer. This isn’t just a free copy of the book: this is a request for your help!
