Instructions To The Monitor/Evaluator

1. The candidate shall be provided with a flowing product.
2. The candidate shall be provided with needed materials for accomplishing diking operations.
3. The candidate shall be given the instructions below before beginning the exercise.

Instructions To The Candidate

Given a flowing product and speed with the provided tools shall successfully perform diking procedures.

6 Steps *

1) Wears full PPE.

2) Prevents direct contact with product.

3) Approaches from the upwind side.

4) Places the appropriate barrier in advance of the spill.

5) Constructed a semi-circle or "V" shaped dike to contain the product in the area.

6) Applies appropriate materials to contain runoff.
