The Washington Square Minyan is supporting the resettlement of an Afghan family here in Boston. We not yet know the makeup of the family we will be sponsoring. Since we anticipate the family to arrive in early October, we are preparing to have the apartment we have secured ready for them, and will plan to adjust accordingly when we learn more about the family. We are trying to recruit a network of volunteers in an intentional and flexible way so that we can be as prepared as possible while also adapting our support as needed. We are looking for people to join our coordinating committee. This would involve a weekly half hour meeting and a few (?) other hours of logistical planning on your own time. Are you interested in joining this committee?
