Hello 8th Grade Students and Families,
I am excited and honored to let you all know that we have scheduled an in person 8th Grade Graduation.  It will take place on Sunday, June 14th at 6pm at First Baptist Church Claremore.  We are working on arrangements to possibly have an informal reception at Gazebo Park.

We are going to try and make this as traditional as possible, however it will not be completely.  Immediate family (parents/guardian and siblings) of graduates will only be allowed to attend, and we will be live streaming the ceremony for extended family.  As a requirement of using the facility and out of respect for others, we will be practicing social distancing, have assigned seating, and strongly encouraging everyone to wear a mask.  Typically, we practice for graduation several times, but we will be pulling this off without practice.  Our graduates will do great!

We typically give a rose to the graduate to give to the significant female in their life (mother and/ or step-mother/grandmother).  There will be a place on the form to acknowledge if you need more than one rose.


Some general details are as follows:
Dress: Semi-formal (ex. what you might wear for Christmas church service)
Class Colors:  Black, Gold, White
Motto:  The Journey of 1000 miles begins with one step.

We are going to have graduation t-shirts on graduation night to distribute and hopefully wear at a celebration in the future.  The t-shirt company needs sizes today, so although there is a place on this form for t-shirt size, Mrs. Casey may be calling today for size.  Otherwise, we will need to guess.

I would like to thank the parent committee that has worked with me to pull this off.  I am looking forward to this special evening.
