In this mini-class, students will learn how to identify keys, meters, intervals, chords, and harmonic progressions and relate these concepts to the study and performance on your instrument. It starts with basic understanding of half steps and whole steps and progresses through essential concepts in music theory (as listed above). This class is for students who are willing to put in extra time learning about how musicians have analyzed western music. It will help you do well in your musical study whether it be for enjoyment or advanced study in high school or college.
