Hosts will have the option to have a one-day (Sat) or a two-day tournament, based on number of teams entered and available courts

1. Please complete the Volleyball Declaration form below as soon as possible.  The deadline is October 15th.   A school that misses this deadline, or wishes to change their status after Oct 15, may appeal to Shawn and, if approved, will be levied a $250 penalty.  Payment must be received prior to final acceptance of the appeal.

2. GENERAL RULES:
a. Any school may enter a grade 7/8 team for 1J VB as well as a grade 9 team at their school classification.  Students may NOT play on both teams. 1J schools will have a guaranteed entry, with 2J-4J schools filling vacancies
b. 1J schools can opt up to the category consistent with their school numbers.  2J and 3J may also opt up.
c. 1J and 2J schools are allowed to use grade 6 players.  Schools wanting to include grade 5 players must make a written application to Shawn by Oct 15.  
d. Schools combining to form a team must also make a written application (signed by both school Principals and AD’s) to Shawn by Oct 15.
e. Net height: All girls and 1J boys: 2.14m    2J, 3J, 4J Boys: 2.24m

3. The number of teams and the draw shall be finalized by Shawn after the October 15 declaration date.
Each Zone competition shall have a maximum of 8 teams.  If 8 or fewer teams are registered, all teams will attend Zones. If your team wants to compete at Zones ONLY if they have won their Region Championship, this must be indicated when registering below.  If more than 8 teams have registered, the Zone Secretary shall notify the Regions where a play-off will occur.  The intent is to create even numbers in each Pool if possible.  Exception: if 8 Regions are represented, and the host is the 9th team, a 10th team will be included to keep the Pools even.
