Opening Prayer:  Start with the Sign of the Cross and pray Our Father together as a family.
Session Theme:  I - Incarnation, Initiation, Invitation; Holy Week
Our theme this month was looking at a couple ways the letter I in Eucharist can help us better understand what the Eucharist is and also preparing for Holy Week and the celebration of Easter.
Different Ways to Pray and Types of Prayer Activities
One of the questions that came up a lot in September's what/why question activity was variations on what does it mean to pray, why do we pray, how do we pray, etc.  So we will be including a different type of prayer and/or way to pray each month to give you more options at home.
Stations of the Cross:  This month's Prayer experience using the stations of the cross for prayer.  Look over the stations of the cross poster of our parish stations (also included in this month's homekit) and reflect/discuss as a family what is happening and why in at least one station.  The middle school group also put together a reenactment of the stations of the cross.  The video is the first part of our April sessions overview.  You can watch their presentation by clicking here: https://vimeo.com/699237366/f32c737ca0
Have you or anyone in your family prayed with the Stations of the Cross before just now (either at church or at home) or is this a new way to pray? What station did your family choose to discuss? *
More ways to pray with Stations of the Cross: Visit our website to learn more about the stations in our church and different ways to use the stations to pray:  https://www.saintbrigidparish.org/stations
Each month we receive a short presentation from one of our priests or deacons.  This month, Deacon Chris gave us a reflection on how the Incarnation leads us to the Eucharist, Initiation makes us participants and Invitation is a way to bring others to know the love of God. Please watch the video (Deacon Chris' portion follows the Middle School stations of the Cross and begins at minute 4:03) and answer the following questions.
Please click the link to go to vimeo since we can't embed it directly into the Google form: https://vimeo.com/699237366/f32c737ca0
Deacon Chris' Video:  Question 1:  Who does Deacon Chris say the Incarnation is "most especially" about and what does that mean? *
Deacon Chris' Video:  Question 2: How many sacraments of initiation are there and what are they called? *
Deacon Chris' Video:  Question 3: What are we called to do after we have been initiated into the Incarnation? Also, please feel free to share any other insights or ask any questions that you have about his presentation.
