For this year's Take Over festival, we’ve invited artist and mental health activist the vacuum cleaner (aka James Leadbitter) to take over the old St Helens Argos store and create a space for art, conversation and care.
The Madlove Take Over Space (the location of the old Argos at Unit 2 of the Hardshaw Centre on Church Street) will have tea, chats
and moments to relax. We’ve invited some local, national and international artists and friends to make things for this place, and we'd like to invite you to organise your own activities in the space, too.
Perhaps you could hold a weekly meeting in the space? Or run a workshop about something you care about? A yoga class or an event for your school or college?
Everyone is welcome in the space. It will be open between Tues-Sat, 11am-6pm, from the 1st-30th November. You can read about access in the space here:

Thanks and hopefully see you soon,
