Do you have knowledge or skills to teach? It is our goal at The Farm Connection to support community education by facilitating knowledge and skill building experiences with the ultimate goal of strengthening our community! We are looking for local talents and experts to help us achieve that goal.
Workshops should ideally align with the following topics:
Agriculture - permaculture, regenerative agriculture, gardening, botany
Homesteading - farm skills, food preservation, animals, building, natural building
Energy efficiency - passive and active solar, wind, geothermal, alternative greenhouse heating
Survival and other skills - basketry, dyeing, spinning/textiles, sharpening, knots
Workshops can be anywhere from a 1 hour guest talk to multiday meetups. These can be free or paid experiences. We are flexible!
We will facilitate event ticketing, advertising/marketing/outreach, site prep, etc. You will provide the materials, planning/learning outcomes, instruction (with assistants if needed). We will collaborate on workshop scheduling and pricing.
TFC workshop cost split is ~30-50% of workshop revenue depending on how involved we are with planning, materials, providing assistance or lunch, hosting, etc.
