All students of the Warriors of Ash (WOA) agree to the following while representing the Warriors of Ash:
-- Have general respect for all people: students, instructors, and spectators. We have a zero tolerance policy on discrimination. We accept students and support from a wide range of backgrounds. Hate speech will absolutely not be tolerated in any way, shape, or form. Discrimination or hate speech will get a student banned from our school.
-- Maintain personal honor and integrity in and out of the fighting ring. We follow the warrior code and it is posted on the wall of our school.
-- Respect local and federal laws. We are not here to cause the public any trouble and are building a safe, inviting community. WOA maintains and acknowledges local and federal law.
-- Maintain personal control at all times. Angry outbursts, pettiness, insults, carelessness, etc. will not be tolerated during this dangerous martial art at any time during training or sparring.
-- Take instruction from all leadership during class. Participate, don’t distract. -
-- Understand our bylaws and nonprofit status and abide by them. We do not accept any for-profit gifts, nor do we as a school extend our support to any political candidate, cause, or rally. We are a non-partisan non-political organization.
-- Do not signal to the public that your participation in an event is WOA sanctified if it has not been approved and announced by the board. All events are verified and approved through the board. We may decline our participation in certain events for safety reasons and we ask students respect those decisions.
-- Take proper care of school gear and school space. Treat all gear as your own and disinfect it for the next student, police up your trash after class, etc. Cleaning is expected of students after each class.
I understand that the above is applicable at all times where I am representing WoA. Representation includes participation in classes, workshops, demonstrations and events hosted by WoA, and displaying your patched vest either by wearing it in public or making it easily seen to the public. I understand that a failure to abide by this Code of Conduct can and will result in non-refundable loss of membership, volunteer work, the ability to participate in all capacities of WoA, and the return of patches earned to the school. My digital signature acknowledges I have fully understood this Code of Conduct and agree to abide by it.
