Thanks for your interest in purchasing bookcases from us! So we're all on the same page, this form outlines the condition of the bookcases, asks you to acknowledge this, provides advice about storage and maintenance, and asks a few questions to help us with delivery.

You will need to submit this form when you purchase bookcases from us. We'll match this form with your order and we will be in touch to arrange delivery.

You can also use this form to get in touch with us about delivery to areas outside the 30km radius of Tullamarine - in some cases this might be possible. Just pop this into the last question.

Q. Why are you selling them?
A. We've gone from 25 to 8 stores since the advent of COVID. We're focusing more on online sales. We need to make room for books and book boxes at the warehouse.

Q. Is $100 a good price?
A. These bookcases cost us $250 new and are way sturdier than anything from IKEA. So yes, we think so.

Q. How many do you have? Can I think about it?
A. We may sell more in the future. We have a few dozen for sale right now. Last time we sold bookcases they sold out in several days.

Q. When will you deliver?
A. We'll be in touch with you within 5 days of your order to arrange delivery in the following 7-10 days. We need a bit of time to get the bookcases down from the racking and put together the delivery runs. If you have any questions at any time, just email help@bookgrocer.com

Q. What if I'm not happy with the information here, and I've just placed my order?
A. We'll give you a full refund, just do let us know right away so we don't attempt delivery.

Delivery Instructions and Preferred Days of Week

Let us know anything you think will help us deliver at a time / day that suits you. We aim to deliver within 2 weeks of your order.

Shelf Preference

Bookcases can have 7 or 8 shelves (Tall) or 4 or 5 shelves (Short). The ones with fewer shelves are better for cookbooks and children's books. Let us know your preference here.

Acknowledgement: Condition of Bookcases *

These bookcases have been in our stores and have a few scuffs, nicks and scratches including on the sides. Delivery of the bookcases will be by our warehouse team, in the same vans we use to move in and out of our stores. While care is taken, the bookcases are definitely used. Some may also have some sticky residue from signage. This can be removed using eucalyptus spray.

Safety and Storage of Bookcases *

The bookcases have a slight lean to them, back against the wall. At the base, the front is 40cm from the wall (the bookcase itself is 20cm thick). The bookcases should be moved by no fewer than 2 people at a time. They must be EMPTY when they are being moved. Our delivery staff will do their best to place the bookcases where you want them but this is not always possible. I acknowledge that...
