Your MCP bestie - your playtesting go-to, your dojo partner, or the person who taught you how to play - is on stream over discord. You and half a dozen other players join the chat to observe the stream in silence.

Not a moment later, your friend's opponent ends Deadpool's activation, and glosses over healing factor until midway through your friends activation. The opponent says, oh and Deadpool heals two - because of healing factor. Your friend calls you to the game.

After your assistance in resolving the above, the tone of the game grows more tense. The players return to the game and resume playing through at a surprisingly fast pace of play.

On the next activation, your friend activates Mystique and performs a Pistol attack against Gamora. Gamora reacts to the attack with the super power martial prowess, and after a subsequent Recalibration Matrix is played by the opponent, Gamora takes no damage and the effects of Martial Prowess result in two damage to Mystique - just enough to KO your friend's Mystique - who, in turn, drops two legacy cures. The opponent activates Gamora with no hesitation, picks up both tokens and is now holding all three. She double long Moves into the corner and the turn ends. Gamora's is the final activation of the round, and the tension seems to lift with the decisive end to the game. The players begin to talk about the cleanup phase, how the recently reworked Cures are resolved and start talking about scoring the round.

Your friend calls you out again to commiserate on their loss, but does not call you to the table for any in-game reason.
