Waiver for minor participation in BIPOC and Average Joes jams at HUGE

A few activities that are independently produced but hosted at HUGE Improv Theater allow participation by minors. In those cases, HUGE requires either that a guardian be present, or that this waiver be completed and submitted by a guardian prior to the minor's participation.

By checking the boxes below, the guardian is attesting that they understand and agree to the terms listed. All boxes must be checked for the minor to participate.

I recognize that while every reasonable effort is made to assure the physical and emotional safety of all participants in activities hosted at HUGE Improv Theater, it is in the nature of improvisation that the unpredictable may occur and as such is not without risk. This activity is not specifically geared toward children or youths, and it is possible they may encounter content or language that some guardians may deem not appropriate. I agree to hold HUGE Improv Theater and the producers and hosts of this activity blameless in any such occurrence, as well as for any physical or emotional harm the minor may incur through participation in the activity.

I recognize that neither HUGE Theater nor the hosts and producers of this activity will take parental or childcare responsibility for minors, and minor participants are expected to be able to see to their own needs if a guardian or caretaker is not present. Guardians and caregivers are welcome to be present in the room for this activity if they so choose.

If any participant requires reasonable accommodations related to a disability, I understand that HUGE Theater asks that these requests be emailed to info@hugetheater.com at least 2 weeks in advance of first participation so that an interactive process of accommodation can occur.

I recognize that while HUGE Theater hosts and oversees this activity, the activity is independently produced — the activity is not in any sense a production of HUGE Theater.

I understand that most activities at HUGE do not allow participation by minors. Only the activities listed above allow minors, and only of the ages noted above.
