Multilingual Captioning

We are a team of accessibility researchers interested in understanding experiences with multilingual captioning for d/Deaf, hard of hearing, and disabled people. We consider an individual to be multilingual if they understand and/or express themselves in more than one language.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out this quick (5 minute) screening survey. The purpose of the screening is to verify eligibility for the research study. Our current focus is on scenarios with multiple spoken or written languages.

In this study, we will have one initial interview that lasts 60-90 minutes, then we will ask you to reflect on a number of activities. After a week, we will schedule a follow-up and final interview to reflect on the activities. If you are selected to take the study, you will be compensated upto $100 in Amazon gift card upon completion of all study activities. If not selected to participate in this study, your survey response data will be deleted.
