SD47 Convention Day, Volunteer Form (April 6, 2024)
With your help, our DFL SD47 Endorsing Convention will be more successful.  Below are volunteer opportunities for the day of the convention April 6, 2024 at East Ridge High School. As a volunteer, you may  work with the Arrangements Committee who will define what you do during your shift.   You do not have to be a delegate to volunteer during the convention.  Young people 16 and over are welcomed to volunteer!  

Thank you in advance for all you do to make Senate District 47 a success! 
a) Set-up Interior 7am - 10am
b) Clean-up - on call for whenever the convention ends
c) Greeters 8:30am ADA, 9am registration 10am Meeting begins
d) Parking Lot management  - ADA and overflow; Exterior signage
e) Floaters- general help as needed all day, in shifts
f) First Aid - on call in case of need
g) Pre-paid Food distribution - Breakfast table, Lunch table, afternoon Snack table

a) Set-up Crew --work to ensure event/room set-ups are completed accurately, safely, and efficiently; Sets up rooms in accordance with the layout provided by the Arrangements Committee and other duties as assigned.  (6 people needed)

b) Cleanup/Teardown Crew--ensures the event hall is clean and organized. Adhering to event safety standards. (6 people needed)
c) Greeters--greets the public at the door as they arrive; answer any questions regarding the convention map or  schedule (4 people needed) Bilingual is an advantage

e) Floaters--are greeters who are dispersed throughout the convention to help answer questions, provide directions of delegates (6 people needed)

f) First Aid (On-Call--note if you have specific medical training - EMT, nurse, doctor)
