Event Details:

May 23-25: 

Three-day workshop for tenor and bass voices, open to both alumni and singers from the local choral community (Thursday and Friday evenings, all day Saturday) The workshop will conclude with an informal social event Saturday Evening. Gerald Wirth, artistic director of the Vienna Boys Choir and former Calgary Boys’ Choir artistic director (1991-1998), will be in attendance as workshop director. Workshop will be Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday morning and afternoon.  

May 26: 

-Celebratory concert at the Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall (Rozsa Centre, University of Calgary) including performances by the workshop choir, current members of the Calgary Boys’ Choir, and guest artists. 

-Post- concert Reception with past artistic directors, esteemed guests, special memories, and memorabilia to follow the concert


Workshop Fee: $80

Scholarship Requests: The Calgary Boys’ choir strives to enrich lives and contribute to the cultural tapestry of our community.  To support this goal, we’ve priced this workshop to be as affordable as possible.  However, we understand that some face financial challenges that would prohibit their participation and scholarships are available to ease this burden. If you’d like to be considered for a scholarship to cover tuition, please contact us at manager@calgaryboyschoir.com
