2020 Piedmont Project Applications
Emory’s Piedmont Project brings together faculty from across the university to support new courses or course modules that strengthen curricular engagement with issues of sustainability, environmental awareness, and urgent societal challenges.  The Piedmont Project has become a national model of curriculum development, providing an interactive workshop and a community for intellectual dialogue around the economic, environmental, and social dimensions of sustainability in both local and global arenas.

Sustainability issues explore social, economic, and environmental dimensions and include climate change, food systems, economic development, ecological systems, environmental justice, public health and wellness, land use and sustainable design, energy, water, and human rights.

Summer stipends of $1000 are available for the development of new courses or course materials.
Workshops are held in the Luce Center, 9:00-5:00, Thursday and Friday, May 13-14, 2019.
