Registration form. Shaken conferences
1- Context and objective
The objective of this project is to combine neurosciences and the performing arts, giving a particular importance to the sharing of knowledge in order to create a favorable framework for future collaborations. In practice, it will consist of interactive master classes where a neuroscientist addresses various emotional, social or cognitive themes through the prism of research on the body and the brain.
These works follow an initial idea by Jordi Vidal, catalan choreographer, director and performer, and who directs and coordinates it. He is accompanied for this by Jonas Chatel-Goldman, neuroscience researcher, also dancer and circus artist at the interface of science and the arts. (see bios and CVs)

This project is supported by "Ventanilla Abierta" Cultural and Scientific Council of the Embassy of Spain, which also gives directions and priorities. Importance is given to online activities, that is to say in distance rather than physical face-to-face. Interactive classes are aimed at artists from various disciplines in the performing arts (music, theater, dance, or film), who are listed in the AECID catalog 2021 of the Spanish Embassy in Brussels. There is no particular expectation of a final result or performance.

2- Format & practical info
As a framework for these exchanges, we propose a new format of "shaken conference" that emphasizes a sharing of knowledge that is also based on the sensitive experience of reality, and not only on knowledge provided in a mental and disembodied way.
These meetings between researchers and artists will happen online using videoconference interface and will typically take place once a week over half a day. Each conference will last about 2 hours and will include an interactive master-class of about 1 hour, a break and will be concluded with a time of sharing between the participants. A different theme will be discussed at each meeting (see further). The language for exchange will be English.
It is welcome (but only optional and not mandatory) that artists reflect about the conferences before attending it. From the title and abstract they can think about what this evokes spontaneously in relation to their life or artistic practice, or anything else they find relevant. This can be any material such as text, image, sound, video or other. A website (padlet) will be provided to host these material from artists, in addition to resources shared to them after the conferences (a selection of slides, graphical summary and video recording).
It is advised to the participants to find a quiet space with good internet connection in order to attend the conferences in the best conditions. Pen and notebook can be of interest for note taking.

We are very flexible with regards to attending the conferences: artists can register to one or as many master-classes they wish, according to their availability and preferences:
