Committee Participation / Leadership
Thank you for your willingness to make the Allatoona Bands a success in the coming year!   For Allatoona Bands to be as successful, we all need to contribute as we are able.

The saying "You only get what you give" is no more relevant in a booster organization, where the success is a direct reflection of our commitment to its success.

Please choose the groups below which you would like to know more about.  We will contact you soon and determine the best fit.

Chaperones - The Chaperones are responsible for the safety of the band students. Any time the band is together outside of school hours, the Chaperone Committee is active. 

Equipment - The Equipment Crew ensures that all band equipment is at the right place at the right time for all band activities.

Friday Night Meals - Coordinating with Directors, Students, and vendors to provide pregame meals.

Guard Activities and Equipment - Assisting guard with costumes, flags, and prop development.

Hospitality - Coordinates and provides meals, snacks, and refreshments to the band.  Also responsible for band Camp Meals and special events during the year.

Jazz Dinner and Auction - Plans and coordinates all activities for the yearly Jazz Dinner conducted in the spring.

Parking - Charged with staffing and operating Friday night parking activities, which helps to fund the Booster Association.

Photography - Charged with creating and maintaining a visual history of the band. This includes still photography, video recording, and audio recording.

Props - Builds and maintains the props and equipment used by the band.

Recruitment and Rentention - 
Responsible for engaging prospective band members via the middle school directors and programs.  In addition, this committee strives to ensure that existing members are enjoying the band program.

Publicity and Public Relations - Maintains and controls contact with various mass media professionals to keep the Allatoona community informed of the band’s activities and accomplishments. 

Spirit Wear - Maintains the Allatoona band spirit wear line and sells items at any/all band events.  Engages external vendors as needed on behalf of ABBA.

"The Conquest" Marching Band Competition - The LARGEST event of the year for the Allatoona Bands, of which everyone is expected to participate.  Responsible for the planning, organization, and operation of the event.

Uniform - Responsible for ensuring that each band member has the correct uniform and for the general maintenance of the uniforms throughout the seasons (Marching / Concert). 

Ways and Means - Responsible for coordinating the fund-raising activities required to meet the annual budget.  This includes the planning and operation of the fundraisers as well as coordination with external vendors and organizations.
