The Nature School of Central Indiana 2021-22 Application Form
As defined in IC § 20-24-5, The Nature School of Central Indiana will be open to any student who resides in Indiana and will not establish admission policies or limit student admissions in any manner in which a public school is not permitted to establish admission policies or limit student admissions.
To be eligible for enrollment a potential kindergartner must turn 5 years old on or before August 1st in order to start school in the current year. However, a student who is 5 by October 1st may also have the option to enroll.
Waitlist:
In the event that we have more applicants than seats available, your child’s name will be put on our waitlist. Parents and/or guardians will be contacted with their child’s number/position on the waiting list. If a seat becomes available, and your child is next in line, TNS will notify you by phone call or email. Applicants not offered spaces will remain on the waiting list only for the school year for which they applied. You will need to re-apply the following year.
Enrollment notifications for the 2021-2022 school year will begin on February 14th. All applicants will be notified by email of their position on the waitlist and be satisfied on a first come, first serve basis.

Applications do not guarantee a spot in any grade.
Children are given seats in a grade or placed on the waiting list in the following order:
The child(ren) of a current TNS employee.
Siblings of current students enrolled in the upcoming school year.
Accepting a Seat at the Nature School of Central Indiana
If your child receives a seat at The Nature School of Central Indiana, you will receive a link to our Student Information System, Gradelink. The enrollment process must be completed on the SIS so the Indiana Department of Education can recognize this as your child's official enrollment in the charter school. Updated enrollment information will be found on our website.
You will be required to complete and submit the Enrollment Notification form and information forms within 45 days of receiving your acceptance. All forms must be submitted by the indicated deadline to complete the enrollment process. If these forms are not received by the designated deadline, your child’s seat will go to the child who is first on the official waiting list.
