Beginning Band:  A course designed for students with little or no experience.  Learn to play an instrument and the basics of reading and writing music.  Beginning band student perform throughout the school year.

Elective Wheel: The wheel is subject to other master scheduling needs and requirements, but has historically included art, drama, music, and wood shop.
As a 6th grade student you may select Beginning Band or the Elective Wheel as your elective.

In addition, you may also select Dance PE in place of a regular PE class.  
Dance PE:  6th Grade Dance is an introduction of basic dance styles and concepts (including various cultural forms and the development of movement skills). Daily warm-up activities are designed to build strength, coordination, flexibility and cardio-respiratory fitness.  This program includes a creative and cognitive component that focuses on building technical vocabulary as well as developing scribing, performing, and analyzing choreography.  We will try our best but may not be able to accommodate every request due to student number limitations.
