ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Events will take place at the OSU Dept. of Dance Studios and Barnett Theatre, Sullivant Hall, 1813 North High St. Columbus OH 43210.
The theme of the conference is Building Legacy. How do we pass on dance knowledge to future generations? Who are those that have shaped a path in dance? Why do we honor those that have paved the way?

PRESENTER INFORMATION

This is a call for proposals for master classes, workshops and panels.
Dance teachers in all disciplines and from all venues are eligible to submit proposals to conduct master classes, workshops and panel discussions. We encourage proposals relevant to the dance matters theme and dance education topics.

Studio space will be available, as will pianos and sound systems which play CDs or can connect via AUX to phones. Please bring all necessary phone hookups, dongles and converters. All studios have marley and sprung floors.

We encourage all teachers at the festival to become members of OhioDance.

TYPES OF CLASSES OFFERED

Classes will be offered with the general headings listed below. We want students to be able to experience a wide range of approaches during the festival.
There is a 15 minute break in between each class. In that time, the instructors will be available to speak with students.
Categories of Classes:
1. Somatics/Yoga/Pilates/Wellness
2. Contemporary Dance/Improvisation/Composition/Repertory
3. Ballet/Repertory
4. Multicultural/Social
5. Jazz/Tap/Hip-Hop/Musical Theater
6. Panel discussions, dance education, sessions for teachers, other______________



***Students who attend the festival encompass a wide variety of ages and skill levels. Take this into consideration in planning your class. Be supportive and mindful of all injuries in all sessions.

Note: The festival is unable to accommodate all proposals and will notify all applicants by December 15, 2019. OhioDance cannot reimburse teachers or accompanists for their travel or lodging expenses, but teachers are offered a $60 per hour honorarium for their time and expertise.
